Fifty works to commemorate fifty years,.... and at 50, Arzan Khambatta seems reborn, looking at the world through fresh eyes . The work he proffers now reveals this new perspective through a dichotomy, juxtaposing light hearted fun with a something intangible- more ephemeral and more anchored at the same time. His journey through the realms of art has come full circle. The trajectory of his career traces his evolution from a playful punster to philosophical expressionist and now returns to the world of wordplay with his irrepressible and - dare I say - wily wit.

Today, however, he blends the creative exploration of language with that same philosophical acumen, as he makes some canny and insightful observations on the world he inhabits. Humour is key, in his book, a part of his expressive language and it flows through his talented fingers into wood and metal, imbuing these inanimate things with pulsating life. Through his hands, they quicken.
